Trevas Younger

Owner and Operator

As owner and on-site Administrator of three Heritage Houses, Trevas holds eleven separate state licenses and is dedicated to staff development and training in an industry that is highly regulated.  She is NMSU Alum, BBA Marketing & Business. She teaches her staff to find reasons to say ‘yes’ to our residents and to make that person happy. Her Managers teach new hires to engage on every level and she reminds them that “The love is in the details”.  Trevas earned a “Distinguished Alumni” Award from NMSU for her work with Small Business Development in 2020. Prior to that, she was a Public Housing Commissioner for 12 years, and later served as Vice-Chair of St. Luke’s Homeless Medical Clinic for four years. In 2021, The Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce awarded Trevas the Compassion Award at their annual Healthcare banquet. As a proud alumna of NMSU, Trevas serves on the Business Advisory Council, NMSU College of Business.

Maria Davila

General Manager/Bookkeeper

Ms. Davila brings 16 years of combined experience. She’s a fan of learning and  teaches respect and appreciation to all her teams. She loves her work with the elderly and you’ll also find her in outside Church ministries, especially for the elderly and homebound. She’s busy as a Mother of seven!

Steve Settles

Kitchen Manager

Steve is an experienced chef and enjoys making lovely meals for all residents.  He specializes in preparing healthy food that promotes longevity.

Benita Hinjosa

Wellness Director

Benita Hinjosa.jpg

Benita has five years’ experience working with the elderly, including long term care, rehabilitation, and an acute care trauma hospital. She has held a Certified Medical Assistant license for four years now as well as certificates and degrees in phlebotomy, public health, and health information technology. Benita is excited to be at Heritage House serving as the Wellness Director and working to keep residents healthy and enjoying quality of life.

Mary Garcia

Activities Coordinator

Mary, a long-time employee, is our “Activity Coordinator Extraordinaire”.  Ms. Trevas and Mary design a diverse and engaging day program for the elderly and our disabled clients. Mary knows how to have fun and has a special fondness for the people she serves.
